- For 7 years I trained other police K-9 patrol dog/handler teams for police K-9 work.
- I have over 25 years experience training dogs in basic and advanced obedience.
- I have personally trained 89 different breeds of dogs of various ages.
Experience with Dogs and in Dog Training
I have been working with and training dogs for most of my life and have worked with police officer handlers and many dog owners who want to gain control of their dog. I have also been a successful confirmation handler and canine breeder for several years. I bred and trained German Shepherd Dogs for use in police work for several years in the 80s and early 90s. I have also bred Belgian Shepherds for work and confirmation before I moved on to Long Haired Dutch Shepherds. These dogs have amazing workability as well as intelligence and stamina for agility drills, a keen herding sense and an overall desire to please. My Longhaired Dutch Shepherd Kennel is one of only a few in the United States, and I have established the highest standard for confirmation with several top dogs.
